A dairy replacement that works! For most things anyway…
Rice milk has got to be the easiest non-dairy milk to make at home. Seriously, it’s even easier than finding a reason to procrastinate! All you need is cooked rice, filtered water, a blender, and about five minutes… it’s great for all sorts of recipes that call for milk, try it out!

Plant-based milk made with cooked rice.
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown rice cooked
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 tsp maple/rice syrup optional
Instructions
- Measure cooked brown rice (1/4 cup per cup of milk).

- Measure filtered water (1 cup per cup of milk).

- Combine measured ingredients in a blender. Blend well.

- Makes 1 cup of rice milk.

Notes
Consistency of milk with these measurements is comparable to dairy, skimmed milk. adjust for the desired thickness.
Optional: add 1/4 tsp of vanilla for added flavour. Adjust to taste.
